Hanja Word Drill: 五 – 다섯 오

Today’s hanja word drills start off with another hanja numeral. Today’s hanja numeral is 五 오 and it is the seventh of the ten basic numbers. Like most hanja numerals, this one has little use outsides its meaning as a number, but like all other hanja it deserves its own article. So let’s take a look at it. Hanja #28: 五 – 다섯 오 The hanja character 五 오 is the same as writing the number 5 in a text. Though it ought to be obvious, this character is for the Sino-Korean number 오 only, not the native korean number 다섯.
